Leah Marlene

Leah Marlene is a seventeen-year-old singer/songwriter from Normal, Il. She was born in Toronto, Canada and moved to Illinois at age three with her family. Leah has grown up in a house full of music and guitars. Her father is Derry Grehan, lead guitarist and songwriter with the Canadian band Honeymoon Suite. He taught her how to play guitar and piano, and passed along his passion for songwriting. She began singing and writing her own songs at a very young age.

Leah is now a senior in high school, but she has been performing live since the age of eight in clubs and festivals locally as well as in Canada and Nashville. She played over a handful of festival dates all over Canada this summer.

Leah has a unique, engaging voice and a songwriting style that combines elements of pop, indie, jazz, rock, and Americana.

In early 2016, Leah recorded 2 new songs, “Paths” and “Inevitable”, and released them on iTunes. Her latest single, “If U Love Me” (Guy Gabriel feat. Leah Marlene), was released on June 15, 2018, and is available on major music streaming services with over 250,000 plays on Spotify. Leah just released her debut EP, “Arrow,” this past December, primarily made up of songs she co-wrote in Nashville.

She makes trips to Nashville about every other month for songwriting, recording and live performances and is currently working on an EP project that will be out by the end of this year. Leah hopes to attend college at Belmont University as a music business or songwriting major.
